Fall Portrait

Within a few days of returning home from Florida,
our local temperatures dropped with a passing storm.

It felt like winter outside, but the leaves were still golden.
By Sunday, the skies were blue even though the temperatures
had hovered around freezing all weekend.

What kind of pie are we having?

Stormy Saturday

The Cottonwoods
on Sunday
These cottonwood trees have blue "X"s painted on them,
meaning that they are most likely being cut down.

We send our love and appreciation to the tree spirits
who have stood tall and provided us with Fall leaves for 13 years.

  1. Hi Jubilee! You look so beautiful in your new dress! Very nice! But you're a bad influence. The roommate keeps looking at the dolls from where you're from. I don't think I'm supposed to know she's looking, but I look through her internet bookmarks now and again (just in case she's thinking of buying a new doll. Like this!).

Very sad about the cottonwoods. I hope that their spirits find their way to their next destination and flourish and grow there as they did for you for 13 years.

  2. Hitty Jubilee is adorable in her new fall dress & pinafore!

That is sad about the cottonwoods. But better to be cut now than to fall on someone later or be fuel for a wildfire.
