Friday, November 22nd
In the early morning darkness, there were some sprinkles of rain
that left puddles of freezing water
and skies heavy with low clouds.
The temperatures stayed at freezing
while the wind blew and trees prepared
for winter by losing more of their fall leaves.
Saturday, November 23rd
The weather forecast reported snow.
There was a light frost on cars and a few patches on the grass.
The mountains to the east were still under frozen clouds
I put on my sweater, hoping that I'd be able to get my photo
taken in real snow today.
I am still waiting for snow under the moody darkness
of an impending storm.
