Western/Southwestern Christmas

I live in a small room box within a small apartment.
Christmas decorating inside is a small affair.
But even without large scale decorations,
corners of  a Western/Southwestern theme bring a personal touch
to our holiday celebration.

An old adobe style Hallmark ornament is out by the drum.
Poinsettias are in front, with a nativity scene inside.

The Western themed tree on top is just my size!

The cowgirl started life as a full-scale ornament,
but now is a part of our Western theme.
Doesn't she look thrilled to be here?

The second Hallmark ornament with Southwestern/Mexican theme
stays in the kitchen year round,
surrounded by cards by Diana Bryer on the side of the refrigerator.
It also has a nativity and a poinsettia.

Maybe the three Kings will leave treats in the slippers!

What kind of personal styles or themes do you enjoy at Christmas?

  1. Hello Hitty Jubilee
We love your beautiful decorations. The South-Western love of primary colours looks very festive. We use painted wooden tree ornaments to decorate, but we aren't allowed to put them out until the 21st December.
Have you done any Christmas baking yet?

  2. Aww, so sweet! I love your decorating, Hitty Jubilee!!! Um... if we have a decorating style, I would say it's "Early American Thrift Store". It the same style in which all the houses are furnished. Even the big one. :) But your Southwestern Style is AWESOME! Thank you for sharing it with us!
